About Us

The  Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill, an independent, bilingual, international school, opened its doors in September 2015.

The school occupies the site of the former Brent Town Hall, a 1930s Grade II-listed building in the late Art Deco style and is set over five acres, with 12,000 square metres of refurbished and purpose-built teaching spaces.

In a world of profound and rapid change, we prepare our students for the challenges of the 21st celntury. Digital devices complement traditional pedagogy and provide a versatile means to differentiate the learning experience and encourage creativity and collaboration. By making the best use of technology alongside other educational and work practices, our school continues to develop innovative and unique teaching and working methods.

We opened our Early Years section in September 2020. Students are guided by two teachers who each use their mother tongue or native language alongside each other in a warm, family-like setting. This setup creates the ideal conditions for bilingualism to flourish naturally in a safe and nurturing environment.

In the Primary section, instruction is in English 50% of the time from Year 1 to Year 6. Each class year meets daily with one French-speaking and one English-speaking teacher. Our school has developed a unique, shared pedagogy that encompasses statutory elements of both the French and English curriculums.

From Year 7, students choose one of our two pathways: Bac Français Bilingue or the English International Programme which leads to the IB Diploma in Years 12 and 13.

We also offer an online campus to students who cannot attend in person. It is as rigorous and engaging as being physically present.
