Overview of role
This is a full-time role for a native-level English speaker. A full-time teaching role entails:
- 20 teaching periods/week
- 3 hours support to students/class cover
- Time for PPA, corrections, collaborative work and meetings
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Plan with the team and deliver PE lessons to Primary & Secondary students based on LIL's curriculum
- Assess students formatively and summatively against criteria of the French curriculum and LIL's own bespoke curriculum giving regular feedback
- Teach, assess and report on PE Baccalaureate evaluations and exams
- Help plan PE day and other active events
- Liaise with colleagues and parents to give feedback on student progress
- Incorporate the mission and values of the school into the classroom
- Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, and communication with families
- Participate in parents-teachers meetings and class meetings
What we are looking for at LIL

- Degree/MA in Physical Education with QTS or equivalent
- At least 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Interest in international curriculums
- Experience of the French Baccalaureate preferred
- Experience of student-led inquiry-based learning
- Interest in creating innovative curriculum and student-centered assessments
- Interest in engaging in the wider school community through lunch time and after school programs
- Ability to teach across primary and secondary.

About us
Lycée International de Londres Winston Churchill is an independent school in Wembley offering in the Secondary section two tracks: the French curriculum and the English International Program leading to the IB Diploma programme in Y12 and Y13.
The school opened its doors in September 2015 and now welcomes over 800 students from Nursery class to Year 13. Located in the splendid Brent Town Hall, the Lycée offers state-of-the-art facilities and learning tools.
